Our Testimonies
… of Salvation…
Cynthia & I were both saved at early ages. I made salvation sure at the age of 10 and Cynthia at the age of 8. Our children are all saved, too and this is something about which we rejoice greatly! All of our children were saved before the age of eight and are all showing the fruits of the Spirit. Of course, they are “normal” kids! But we rejoice in the fact that our family will not be separated when the Lord returns.
… of Our Calling…
I was called to the ministry at age 14 and Cynthia accepted the call to fulltime service at age 19. We met at BBC and worked together in Christian Drama and in the play, “Once To Die”. We did not date during college and went our separate ways. We were reunited at a later point and married a few years after I graduated from seminary. We marvel at God’s creativity in bringing us together and from that time forward we have sought the Lord’s will at every point in our lives.
of Our Work prior to the Mission…
We served the Lord in the secular realm for several years until the Lord allowed us to leave that “desert” and enter His service fulltime. From the time I took early retirement from AT&T, all secular employment has been bi-vocational or part-time. We were in the full-time senior pastorate for several years when the Lord called us to the mission field of Bolivia in February 2003.
… of Our Work now…
We were approved as missionaries with the Baptist Bible Fellowship International in September 2003. During this first term on the field, our focus is on language and cultural studies. We have completed step two of the three part process to obtain residency visas from the Bolivian government. Every step we take is focused on the core ministry purpose: planting Bolivian churches and training Bolivian pastor sand workers!
… of the Tenets of Our Faith…
As BBFI missionaries, and as BBC students and graduate, Cynthia and I both adhere to the 20 articles of Faith as expressed by the BBF in their charter. We believe strongly in the imperative to win the lost and from those converts, train them in the Word and mentor those called to ministry in order to establish indigenous New Testament churches, able to stand firmly on their own.
